This book was highly recommended to me as a great way to change eating habits and achieve better health. I like the basic ideas in the book, and it is easy to follow the recommendations. The fact that fruit has to be given up for the first 10 days did put a damper on my enthusiasm. I think that any diet that limits a good food group is not realistic.

I read this book a few years ago and just purchased one for myself. It is not about a fad diet, it is a lifestyle change. I look forward to changing my eating habits and having my own book to refer back to as I go along.

Real Results- Real Quick

I am 57 years old, 5'8" and weighed 208lbs April 6th. I have followed the basic concepts of Sonoma now for 24 days and today I weigh 196 lbs. What I really like is weighing myself everyday at the same time on an accurate scale and seeing up to a pound disappear in 24 hours. Its an amazing diet and really demonstrates the problem of sugar and white flour in America. While I haven't been perfect and I have never paid any attention to portion control but still loosing lots of weight. I'd say this is a winning combination.

If you love food this is the cookbook for you! Forget the "diet" in the title! It is about changing how we view food, cooking and how we can create a lifestyle that celebrates the simple pleasures in life, like a well prepared meal.

I am absolutly stunned at how easily I have been able to make a complete transition to eating healthy, losing weight and enjoying great food all at the same time. The recipes are sophisticated combinations of flavors yet easy to follow, and fit into a busy life easily.

It has changed how I eat forever. I highly recommend this book.






Great food . . . healthier you!

I really enjoyed this book, as well as the recipes. As another reviewer stated, if you don't like to cook this book isn't for you. But if you like to eat, you surely do or know someone who does. If you enjoy whole foods, instead of small lunches out of cardboard boxes, then buy this book. I didn't need to lose weight, so I just bought it for the recipes. Great book! Great food! Great recipes!
