| There have been vineyards on the Retuerta abbey's estate since 1146. This Vino de Mesa de Castilla y Leon Red Table Wine is a blend of 60% Tempranillo and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, predominantly from chalky soils, harvested at full maturity. A warm, dry month of September followed a long cool growing season in 1999, which produced very fine quality at the expence of quantity. Rivola can be enjoyed immediately for its intense berry aromas and flavors, with a delicate touch of vanilla. It can also be cellard for several years. |
