| Lalande de Pomerol Bordeuax Chateau La Fleur Saint Georges has a surface area of 17 hectares in the heart of the Lalande de Pomerol appellation in the commune of Neac. Its vineyard situated on a little island of clayey-gravel with ferruginous traces, includes a high percentage of aged vines, a guarantee of quality. The grape mix is composed exclusively of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. THis vineyard is very closely supervised by it propietors and is kept like a garden. The modern installations of the winery comprise in particular a fermentation room equipped with stainless steel vats which allow excellent temperature control to be monitored as well as flawless winemaking. These methods and procedures enable the wine to maintain all its qualities. Wine making is in the hands of one of the great cellar masters in the area. The growth, acquired by the A.G.F. insurance company in 1991, was completely renovated in 1989. The gworth of Chateau Saint Georges under the impulse of its new owners, produces wines of remarkable quality which represent a transition between Saint Emilion and the Medocs. The wines are bottled, as it should be, at the Chateau. Size of the estate: 18 ha. Plantation density 6,000 vines/ha. Average age of the vines 25 years.
