Spanish Brandy

| Recalling the legend and the grandeur... The spirit of Carlos I, known outside Spain as Emperor Charles V, immortalizes the glory of Spain. This classic brandy recalls that grandeur. The House of Pedro Domecq was founded in 1730, when an enterprising French aristocrat came to the fertile Jerez region. Descendants of the Domecq family are still running the company today. It began producing and exporting its products in commercial quantities around 1874, and today has holdings all over the world. Carlos I Solera Gran Reserva is the crowning achievement of Domecq. Its sleek, modern bottle bears an elegant gold label. The brandy has an average age of 12 years, from a solera started over a century ago. Tasting Notes: Tea color with golden edges. Scents of roasted almonds and butterscotch. Vanilla and nutmeg on the palate. Assertive, rich aftertaste. |
