About Absolut
ABSOLUT is produced from winter wheat, a hardy wheat grain that gives ABSOLUT its smooth grain character. Every year approximately 80,000 tons are used to produce ABSOLUT. Over one kilo (two pounds) of grain is used for every one-liter bottle.
ABSOLUT uses a unique process called continuous distillation, introduced in the nineteenth century by ?The Vodka King?, Lars Olsson Smith. ABSOLUT is distilled hundreds of times until all impurities have been removed.

| "Clear. Intense, sweet clementine/tropical, perfumed aromas. Soft, rounded texture. Moderately lush and fruity mouthfeel gives way to a bold, mineral and grain accented palate. Quite aggressive, yet well structured with a clean razor sharp finish." -Rated 89, Tastings.com |

| "Very neutral on the nose with just a touch of cereal aroma and a hint of alcohol. Very good mouth feel, dryish in style but with some very light hints of caramelization. Just touches of needle from the alcohol. Sweetish but rather short on the finish. I maintain that this makes one of the finest vodka tonics in the world, perhaps because the mouth feel of the vodka lends a bit more weight to the mixture that other, lighter vodkas. Alternatively, put it in the freezer to drink ice-chilled when it becomes thick in texture, smooth, and very dry." - Desmond Begg, The Vodka Companion |
