Herradura is differentiated from other tequilas by its distinctive distillation and production method. All types of Tequila Herradura (Silver, Reposado, Anejo, & Suprema) are barrel aged, 100% blue agave tequila, and bottled on the Herradura estate without additives such as caramel and cane sugar. Herradura is an all-natural spirit. (This earns Herradura BATF approval to use the terms "natural" and "estate bottled" on its U.S. labels) Herradura Anejo is aged for 2 years ( a full year longer than the Mexican government requires a tequila to be aged in order to be called "Anejo").
Received a 90 rating in the March 2000 Wine Enthusiast Magazine
Spirits Expert F. Paul Pacult (from The Spirit Journal) rated Herradura Anejo as the second best white spirit that he tasted from 1991-2000 (second only to Barbancourt Estate Reserve 15 Year Old Rum from Haiti). |
